Activision CEO, Mike Griffith has revealed in a conference call that Guitar Hero will be coming to Wii!

The key difference in our strategy versus the prior cycle, is that in addition to full support on Sony and Microsoft platforms, we will aggressively target the Nintendo platforms consistent with our multi-platform strategy and Nintendo’s expected growth. In fiscal 2008, we will double our offerings on the DS and the Wii, including Spider-Man, Shrek, Transformers, and Guitar Hero.

No details have been revealed on the control system.

Guitar Hero has won many awards from major video game publications and its success spawned the 2006 sequel, Guitar Hero II for both the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox 360.

Excellent, I wouldn't like SingStar as I can't sing but this would do nicely…good one Activision.
Anyone thought, with very little modification, you could do some sort of ‘Drum Hero’ on the Wii?

i believe the names ‘drum hero’ and ‘guitar villain’ have been trademarked by the guitar hero guys
There's been rumours about additions to the Guitar Hero games, there's a little port on the 360's guitar and nobody seems to know what it does. It's the same port used on the MS wireless force feedback steering wheel so some are guessing that they'll add the ability to connect the pedals and use them as distortion pedals with the guitar. Sounds a bit far fetched to me!

With the Wii it'd be awesome if they added some motion sensing to your head so you could head bang whilst playing the guitar!
