Ever get the feeling society is becoming too reliant on smartphones? They are incredible gadgets, there's no doubt about that, yet I find myself becoming increasingly irked by so-called smartphone addiction. I'm talking about people walking down the street with their eyes fixed on their phone, others taking calls while at the dinner table, and of course, that one individual who insists on refreshing their social feeds every five minutes in the cinema.

Smartphone users in the States are said to be checking their phones more than nine billion times per day, up 13 per cent since 2015, and similar studies suggest that nearly two-thirds of all consumers check their phone within 15 minutes of waking up.

Some might call it an epidemic, while others may view smartphone usage as progress. Either way, it's an interesting topic so for this week's question we're asking: are you addicted to your smartphone?

!!!BURN THEM ALL!!! Then perhaps my kids will remember what the sky looks like
And in all honesty, could you live without?

Yes,as I can then use a tablet.
I'm not exactly checking it 9 billion times a day but it's probably close yeah :/
I'm not but my teenage son is!
I still remember somebody knocking my door to sign a petition to stop a mobile phone mast being erected near my house.
I've always hated mobiles but I carry one purely for taking photo's.
