I envy those folk who just go out and buy what they need to without giving it too much thought. Me? I'm one of those who has to do the research, dotting the i's and crossing the t's in an effort to extract maximum value. It drives the wife nuts, so much so that she now goes round the supermarket with the trolley on her own, leaving me to read the ingredients on the pack in my own time.
You could argue that the decision making process is amplified when it comes to technology, as a little extra special care is required in picking out the best products to suit your lifestyle or workload. These days, a lot of that decision making revolves around the mobile phone. Gone are the days when a handset just needed to be able to make calls; today's devices tempt consumers through a wide range of factors including size, battery life, camera quality, software and more.
For me personally, a phone needs to be reasonable in size (not too big, not too heavy), equipped with a decent camera, a nice display and a battery that lasts at least a day or two, with wireless charging for convenience. If I had to put just one feature at the top of the must-have list, it would most probably be good battery life. How about you?
