14th February 2011, London: Orange today announced plans to launch the much anticipated LG Optimus 3D and LG Optimus Black in the second quarter of 2011.

Bringing the 3D revolution to mobile users, the LG Optimus 3D is a ground-breaking new device featuring a stunning 4.3” 3D LCD screen. With a dual 5 mega-pixel camera for recording 3D video, consumers can create, view and share 3D multimedia with family and friends with ease. Using Google’s Android operating system, the device features 8GB memory, advanced multimedia capabilities, HDMI output, alongside a host of applications and services.

The LG Optimus Black is the world’s slimmest mobile device at 9.2mm, sporting breakthrough technology with a brighter 4-inch NOVA display.  Ideal for daily use, it reduces power consumption by 50 percent indoors compared to a conventional LCD screen. The device also features the world’s first 2 mega-pixel front facing camera and the Optimus UI 2.0 offers an augmented Android experience, allowing users to directly access messages, emails and missed calls from the locked screen with just a single tap. It is the first phone to support Wi-Fi DirectTM2 for quick and high quality data transfer and sharing between mobile devices, and offers a seamless web browsing experience.

Nicola Shenton, Head of Device Portfolio, Everything Everywhere said: "The LG Optimus 3D and LG Optimus Black show LG is really driving the market in terms of 3D and screen display technology. We’re pleased to be working with them to bring this latest innovation to Orange customers, pushing the boundaries of what a smartphone can deliver.”

Both devices will be available from Orange shops and www.orange.co.uk/shop
