EE has announced the availability of 30-day SIM only tariffs which will allow people to use its 4G network without a long-term commitment. This is the first time that the EE 4G network will be available to non-contract customers. The prices for these new 30-day SIM-only plans range from £23 per month to a whopping £63 per month. As part of all these plans a customer will get unlimited calls and texts, only the data allowance will change.

Heralding the new price plans Simeon Bird, Director of Propositions at EE, said: “It’s our ambition to provide consumers with the most comprehensive range of 4GEE plans possible. With these new 30-day options, we’re pleased to be providing an even more flexible way to access 4G.”

Indeed, the premium over the 12 month SIM only contracts isn’t too bad for the flexibility on offer; all the 12-month SIM only contracts are exactly £2 less per month than the above 30-day prices. So to be free of any mobile network commitment will only cost you £24 per year.

Below is a table for you to make it plain what you get for your money on these new rolling 30-day deals:

EE was keen to point out additional benefits of being an EE customer which include EE Film “the UK film service that combines 2 for 1 cinema ticketing, listings, trailers, film downloads and streaming in one place” and also a £5pm customer discount on EE fibre broadband for your home. One other positive feature of these SIM only deals is that you are allowed to tether (wireless hotspot) with the data you have paid so dearly for.

Improvements and the expansion of EE’s 4G network continues as the firm recently announced double speed 4G will be coming to Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Sheffield this summer. You can check current 4G coverage here.

The new 30-day SIMs will be available both online and in stores.

Looking at the EE map on coverage, where I live the coverage seems to cover all of the hills surrounding, BUT NOT ACTUALLY THE VILLAGE I LIVE IN OR THE NEIGHBOURING TOWN.
More stupid, pointless and expensive packages from EE.

I get 4mb - 13Mb speeds on my Note 2 on 3, why would anyone need any more speed than that. Perfectly fast enough for HD video, music, radio etc etc
SUPERFAST INTERNET

For super quick email, browsing and downloading when you are out and about. To use 4G, you'll need a 4G-ready phone and a 4GEE plan.

Available only on 4GEE plans.

NOT YET

town of 100K+ (orange is crap here as well)
Meh. People only buy into this 4G hype because they don't realise their slow connection is because of poor coverage on 3G.
Balls!
