We know that Intel continues to hold sway in older, lightly-threaded apps such as PiFast, but Ryzen 9 3950X is all about multi-threaded prowess, and Ripley, as expected, is right up there in the Cinebench and Blender tests.

How is the PC Specialist Scimitar MK1 managing to squeeze that extra last drop from the 16-core chip? Our logs revealed the PCS system maintained an all-core speed of around 4.0GHz under load, compared to just under 3.9GHz for our test platform. We're still tweaking as we go, but at the moment that's a trade-off we're willing to accept in order to keep noise output down to a minimum.
