Bioggio, Switzerland (April 23, 2013) - Acer today unveiled the latest addition to its monitor family: the S6 series. Following the path marked out by the S5 series, the new displays combine a design that will appeal even the most fashionable users with excellent performance and cutting-edge technologies. What's more, these displays support MHL technology, to enjoy photos or videos from your mobile devices on a large screen.

With the S6 monitor series you can display all the multimedia stored on your smartphone or tablet in few easy steps. Simply connect your mobile device to the monitor with the MHL cable, automatically synchronise audio and video and you are done: you are ready to watch streaming video, pictures or play games. And the icing on the cake is that you charge your device at the same time.

On the S6 display a great enjoyment of your multimedia is guaranteed. The Zero Frame design increases the available space, so that you can see more and do more, while the Full HD resolution, awesome contrast ratio and fast response time let you enjoy the smoothest reproduction of even the fastest action packed movies.

What's more, you can share an unmatched entertainment experience with your friends. Thanks to IPS panels the S6 monitors display consistent and accurate colour from a 178° wide viewing angle, and together with the tilt adjustment you can find the best position for comfortable viewing with your friends or family.

The S6 series boasts an ultra-slim and space-saving design as well as the signature asymmetric stand, with all ports conveniently located on the base, where not only they are easier to reach but keep the design even simpler and cleaner. Behind the tastefully contemporary design that will appease even the most sophisticated taste looms a green heart, making these monitors ideal for environmentally conscious users. The use of white LED technology makes the Acer S6 displays energy efficient.

Perfect for multimedia enthusiasts, the Acer S6 monitors are available in two panel sizes 69 cm (27 inch) for the S276HL and 58 cm (23 inch) for the S236HL model. Both come with Full HD resolution and a contrast ratio up to 100 million:1, enabling jaw-dropping views of the latest high definition content and make the most of advanced Full HD gaming, multimedia and productivity applications. Two integrated HDMI ports provide advanced digital connectivity enabling outstanding high-definition viewing from the latest digital sources.

The S6 series will be available in Europe, Middle East and Africa from the end of May at a starting price of € 329 for the S276 and €189 for S236 (price may vary depending on configuration and country).
