Computex Taipei runs from 28th May to 1st June this year. Today the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) announced that AMD President and CEO Dr. Lisa Su will deliver the opening keynote for the event. Dr Su's keynote on the topic of 'The Next Generation of High-Performance Computing' will take place a day ahead of the exhibition opening, on Monday, 27th May at 10:00am in Room 201 of the Taipei International Convention Centre (TICC) in Taipei.

Responding to the news of being invited to present the opening keynote, Su said she was "honoured to deliver the opening keynote this year and provide new details about the next generation of high-performance AMD platforms and products". Dr. Su said she always looks forwards to Computex and it is "one of the most important global events," for the computer industry.

So, what will be discussed, unveiled, or even launched during the keynote? Dr. Su will talk about "how leading-edge technologies and an open ecosystem are driving an inflection point in computing and industry innovation and positively impacting several important markets". More product-specific announcements are expected on 7nm AMD Epyc (Rome MCM) data centre processors, 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen desktop processors, and graphics cards based on the next-generation Navi architecture.

During the keynote, Su will be joined by high-profile guests who "will highlight new details of upcoming products and showcase how the industry is building a new high-performance computing ecosystem that will push technology to the next level," according to the official press release.

Computex will host 1,685 exhibitors across 5,508 exhibition booths this year and will focus on the latest trends in AI & IoT, 5G, blockchain, innovations & startups, and gaming & XR. It is just 55 days away.
