Over in Europe and the U.S., it's a similar situtation. AMD's ATI Radeon HD 5770 is widely available, with pricing stood still at €159.90 and $159.99, respectively. Please note that U.S. pricing excludes local taxes.

Looks to me as if ebuyer have got the right prices for these cards. I think a price of around £100 when things settle will be good for the 5770. I don't think the performance really does justify any more.
Pre-ordered the saphire one on ebuyer for £111, good price I feel.
It'll be interesting to see whether people start putting two 5770s in crossfire in preference to a 5850..

ATI do seem to have been pretty careful with the positioning, so that it's just about not worth it. Also interesting that in Hexus' review at least, the 5850 and 5870 actually run cooler.
