We saw the first teaser images of the Fiji XT powered AMD Radeon R9 390X at the start of May, now AMD has produced its own teaser video. The video, titled "It's Coming", shows very little. However thanks to the usual 'leaks' we have some clear new images of the upcoming flagship graphics card.

Let's start with a look at the official AMD teaser video, embedded above. All we really get to see is the R – A – D of RADEON in red paint on one edge of a graphics card shroud and some etched lettering on a surface perpendicular to that one. Of the full seven seconds of video teased about three seconds is a just completely black scene… However, even from this brief glimpse we can see the new shroud design is unlike any we have seen before from AMD.

A new image said to show the new flagship Radeon in more detail was published yesterday on Overclock.net forums, embedded below. You can see from the proportions that this card is quite compact, with a short PCB. The compact nature could be a result of the HBM memory chips being on the GPU package. The All-in-One liquid cooler only has to operate on the Fiji XT GPU package and the VRM components.

According to TechPowerUp the reference card as pictured features a pair of 8-pin power connectors. The integrated AiO cooler uses a 120mm radiator powered by a single 120mm PWM fan. Connections on offer won't include any flavour of DVI, but buyers will have an assortment of DisplayPort 1.2a and HDMI 2.0 at their disposal.

Computex is less than a week away and we have heard that Nvidia is probably going to use the exhibition to launch the GeForce GTX 980 Ti graphics card. We saw the first leaked pictures of Nvidia's upcoming Ti just a few days ago. The big question is - when will we be able to compare the upcoming AMD Fiji XT flagship and the GeForce GTX 980 Ti in HEXUS labs?

Never understand these types of teaser videos, they're normally so short and cryptic that next to nothing can be gleaned from them.

Agreed, I just bypass them completely, theyre almost always a waste of time. Even if they're only a few seconds long it still feels like a waste when you learn absolutely nothing from it.

Hype.
Like the look of the new shroud.

I hope it's all it's meant to be!
