MMD has launched a new family of monitors, dubbed the Philips E1 monitor series. The new family is said to offer elegant design and innovative features for an exceptional user experience whether at home or at work. What this translates to in spec terms is a range of eight new monitors spanning 24-, 27-, or 32-inch displays with Full HD, Quad HD, or 4K UHD resolutions - with a sextet of curved panels among them. Furthermore, you will find the new E1 line sport features such as Adaptive Sync/AMD FreeSync, LowBlue Mode, Flicker-Free technology and DisplayPort connectivity.

Five of the new E1 monitor models feature deep 1500R curvature VA panels and slim 8.9mm bezels (241E1SCA, 272E1CA, 322E1C, 325E1C, and 328E1CA). Meanwhile the flat-screen models with IPS panels (245E1S, 275E1S and 328E1CA) offer extra-wide viewing angles in addition to crisp images and accurate colours.

I've created a table comparing all the new monitors with their panel types, screen resolution, other features, and UK MSRPs, so they are easy to compare.

As mentioned in the intro, though the range is quite diverse, they all feature some commonality - and hence are in the same family. Attractive common features include; SmartContrast, LowBlue Mode, Flicker-Free technology, Adaptive Sync, SmartImage game mode, and a quick access OSD with gaming presets. The supplied adjustable stands offer -5/20° tilt, though not all are height adjustable (see table).

Philips has shared expected availability and pricing as per the table above (mostly this month). You can download the model specific e-Flyer promotional PDFs with overviews and tech specs tables for each of the new monitors via the links below:

why cant they lower costs by offering these without speakers? who uses junk built in speakers anyway? where I work, and our company is very large, all our work stations have external speaker setups. these should have no speakers, and all have height adjustment
