Taiwanese performance memory maker G.SKILL International Co. Ltd., managed to claim six new overclocking world records at the recent Computex 2014 show. Various popular benchmarks including 3DMark variants, Unigine Heaven and HWBOT Prime recorded highest ever scores thanks to systems employing G.SKILL system RAM.
Let's have a gander at the records which G.SKILL scalped and the hardware which was used to achieve these impressive scores. Below you will find a table including the six achievements.
3DMark05 (2x GPU) – 73132 marks Overclocker: Sofos1990 Memory: G.SKILL TridentX Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K VGA: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 Ti (x2)

3DMark2001 SE (2x GPU) – 177215 marks Overclocker: Sofos1990 Memory: G.SKILL TridentX Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K VGA: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 580 Ti (x2)
|
3DMark Vantage - Performance (4x GPU) – 99045 marks Overclocker: Young Pro Memory: G.SKILL TridentX Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Black Edition CPU: Intel Core i7 4960X @ 6,012MHz VGA: Asus R9 290X (x4)
|
3DMark Fire Strike Extreme – 25332 marks Overclocker: Young Pro Memory: G.SKILL TridentX Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Black Edition CPU: Intel Core i7 4930K VGA: Asus Matrix 780 Ti (x4)
|
Unigine Heaven - Xtreme Preset – 5572.9 DX11 Marks Overclocker: Vivi Memory: G.SKILL TridentX Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K VGA: MSI R9 290X Lightning |
HWBOT Prime – 4985.52 pps Overclocker:Sofos1990 Memory:G.SKILL TridentX Motherboard:Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force CPU:Intel Pentium G3258 |
As you can see from perusing the above table, G.SKILL's TridentX range are the RAM chips of choice for overclocking record breakers. The official product page for this RAM boats that it has the "highest DDR3 speed world record at DDR3 4404MHz". It further claims that "TridentX will push your system to the limit that was once unimaginable," and it does seem to have been a key component in these record breaking systems.
Other popular component choices in the systems above are the Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force and Asus Rampage IV Black Edition motherboards. Also it's great to see the HEXUS budget favourite Intel Pentium Anniversary Edition G3258 processor in the record books, helping overclocker 'Sofos1990' achieve 4985.52 pps in HWBOT Prime.
