Conclusion
...large mesh sections provide plenty of airflow, and with a full-size tempered-glass side panel Meshify C is a prime choice for an elaborate cooling loop.Fractal Design is hoping to appeal to a wider audience of PC builders with the launch of new cases that shun the company's traditional Scandinavian design aesthetic in favour of all-black enclosures with an edgy look and feel.
Meshify C kick starts the trend by repurposing the tried-and-trusted Define C as a means for showcasing a liquid-cooled PC. The distinctive angular front panel is a nice touch, while large mesh sections provide plenty of airflow, and with a full-size tempered-glass side panel Meshify C is a prime choice for an elaborate cooling loop.
The familiar internal layout is easy to work with and cable management is good, yet Fractal has missed a trick in one or two key areas. Sound-dampening materials have fallen by the way side, and in the latter half of 2017 it is a shame to see any high-performance case launched without USB Type-C as standard.
Bottom line: while Fractal's best cases have the ability to go unnoticed, Meshify C takes a different approach by attempting to turn heads. It is neither the company's quietest nor most expansive solution, yet with the right hardware it's guaranteed to look the part.
The Good The Bad Decent performance
Compact for a mid-tower solution
Full-size tempered-glass side panel
Lots of liquid-cooling potential
Good cable management Still no USB Type-C
Not as quiet as the Define C
