Final Thoughts and Rating

Building on the modest foundations of the ETS-T40, Enermax's thermal-conductive coating has managed to elevate the cooler's aesthetic appeal while maintaining solid-if-not-spectacular performance.

White PC hardware continues to be all the rage among manufacturers, and if you're in the market for a CPU cooler to match your Special Edition Graphite 600T, Enermax has answered your call with the ETS-T40 White Cluster.

Building on the modest foundations of the ETS-T40, Enermax's thermal-conductive coating has managed to elevate the cooler's aesthetic appeal while maintaining solid-if-not-spectacular performance.

Reasonably priced and bundled with a speed-adjustable LED-lit fan, the ETS-T40 White Cluster is a well-built solution that provides far greater cooling potential than a reference Intel cooler. And despite struggling to compete against pricier alternatives in its out-the-box configuration, room for a second fan in a push/pull configuration leaves scope for improvement.

Enthusiast users may find that performance under extreme scenarios leaves something to be desired, but with few all-white solutions on the market, the ETS-T40 White Cluster can be recommended to users planning an arctic-themed build. Such is the quality of Enermax's coating, we're now hoping for Nvidia Green, AMD Red and Asus Gold variations.

The Good

Attractive white coating
Good-quality LED-lit fan
Scope for push/pull configuration
Available for under £40
Easy installation

The Bad

Single-fan performance is limited
May obstruct a memory slot
