Pro's
- Superb Functionality
- Good Construction
- Well Equipped, with cathodes, screws, cables...
- NXP-305 looks superb and comes in 2 colours.
- Choice between 5¼ inch drive bays or 3½ inch bays.
- Controllable voltage from 0V to 12V.
Con's
- NXP-301 could be improved on its looks
- Cathodes included are only available in one colour; Blue.
- Not suitable for CPU fan's
Overall
These controllers are by far the best fan controllers I have seen. It’s an innovative idea by including 2 cold cathode tubes within the kit, to provide a 2 in 1 product. If you have been looking for a fan controller then I would certainly recommend one of these products. My own choice would have to be the NXP-305 though as the styling of this small controller is far superior than the NXP-301 model. The NXP-301 that fits in the 5¼ inch drive bay isn’t going to win any prizes in a bonny baby competition, but with the great functionality and built in CCFL inverters it still makes it a stunning product.Picture Gallery
