Conclusion

...the Super GamingPro achieves a £220 street price by paring away many of the superfluous features found on other vendors' models.

Palit is understandably keen to get on the GeForce GTX 1660 Super bandwagon. Effectively the Ti version with a £50 snip, the new GPU offers a seamless FHD gaming experience whilst also being robust at QHD in many of today's best-looking titles.

The Super GamingPro achieves a £220 street price by paring away many of the superfluous features found on other vendors' models. There's no RGB, triple-slot cooling, or overclock in place, but given how the sample card boosts, you are not missing much.

We'd recommend Palit take a look at the fan-curve algorithm and tune this card for quieter operation. And it wouldn't hurt for the fans to stop at low loads, which has now become common.

Many of our readers are in the market for a competent graphics card that makes easy work of FHD and offers playable QHD frame-rates. If that's you and budget is tight, the Palit GeForce GTX 1660 Super GamingPro, priced at around £220, is well worth a look, though we'd recommend waiting a few weeks to see how the mainstream landscape pans out once AMD has had its say.
