Conclusion
we can genuinely recommend it to the deep-pocketed enthusiast who likes to game at a lush 2,560x1,440 resolution present on the latest 27in monitors. There's no getting around the fact that purchasing high-end PC hardware is an expensive business. Spending close to £600 on a single graphics card is, frankly, a ludicrous amount, so it's just as well that Gigabyte's GeForce GTX 780 Ti OC is a ludicrously-fast card.
Based on the table-topping GTX 780 Ti released just over a week ago, Gigabyte's healthy core overclock ensures its card benchmarks 10 per cent faster. And it's not just stupidly fast, either, as the company has, this time at least, taken appropriate care of thermals and acoustics - the OC metes out impressive framerates without making a fuss.
It's highly doubtful that you'll find a significantly faster single-GPU card before the next generation of architectures arrive on the scene, most likely in late 2014. With that in mind and saliently ignoring the £600 price tag likely to be attached to it, we can genuinely recommend it to the deep-pocketed enthusiast who likes to game at a lush 2,560x1,440 resolution present on the latest 27in monitors.
Pulling off the improbable trick of being fast and quiet, this card jumps to the top of our current Christmas wishlist.
