Conclusion

it's a good solution for anyone contemplating Core i9 processors.

Spending close to £500 on a motherboard means the manufacturer has to do a lot to get hold of your cash.

MSI goes about prising this money with a Z590 board featuring bulletproof build, over-the-top electrical potential, Thunderbolt 4, four M.2 slots, and cutting-edge audio.

Able to overclock like a champ, it's a good solution for anyone contemplating Core i9 processors, but do be aware that it's power thirsty and only carries single 2.5G Ethernet. One also wonders about the logic behind adding so much high-speed peripheral potential to a chipset stunted with last-generation transfers and a narrow link to the CPU.

It becomes increasingly difficult to recommend motherboards on the premium end of the scale when the latest chipsets integrate ever-more features, but if you're a curious mix of part-gamer and part-creator, and want to go down the Intel route right now, the MEG Z590 Ace is an interesting prospect, especially in gold trim.

The Good

The Bad
Great build
Premium audio
Four M.2 slots
Thunderbolt 4 for creators
Top-notch electrical design

Only single 2.5G LAN
Power thirsty compared to competition
Gold is very much acquired taste

Reminds me of this one: Ga-x79-ud7
Traditional Ace looks better, IMO.
This could look alright if the finish is matte, but hideous if it's actually as shiny as the pics imply.

Both would look better without all the diagonal styling that seems to be the current trend, along with my usual complaint about the RGB being used as a gimmick instead of a serious styling consideration.
