Conclusion

...Philips picks its battles carefully across a broad range of screens, and the 275P4VYKEB is a solid illustration of that strategy.

No single monitor can be all things to all people. Some want massive screen real estate, others prefer super-high refresh, and another swathe of users can't do without adaptive frame rate technology for tear-free gaming.

Philips picks its battles carefully across a broad range of screens, and the 275P4VYKEB is a solid illustration of that strategy. Packing in a whopping 14.7MP across a genuine 5K panel, the excellent colour accuracy, above average viewing angles and really punchy image quality makes it an ideal choice for well-heeled content creator.

You'll need a couple of (supplied) DisplayPort cables to get it up and running and at £1,200 it certainly isn't cheap, but once you see it in action, particularly from a producitivity point of view, it's hard not to be impressed..

Bottom line: an excellent monitor for productivity and colour-accurate work, the Philips Brilliance 275P4VYKEB produces some of the most breathtaking images we've yet seen on a consumer screen.

All fantastic and then make the display have a reflective coating which makes it a tad pointless for image editing.
“What's more, the rise in popularity has brought prices down to a level where one can purchase a wide range of 4K PC screens for under £500.”

How about all of these companies dropping all the cheap tat and just making quality screens? Oh, wait, that'll mean less $$$$. 4k screens should be £120 by now but they know exactly what they're doing!
