Conclusion
...one of the better 27in gaming monitors to pass through the labs, and certainly Aorus' best effort yet.Aorus has refreshed its popular line of 27in gaming monitors with the introduction of the £650 FI27Q-X.
Employing the same chassis as its FI27Q-P predecessor, the X's key upgrade is a new 240Hz QHD IPS panel that delivers top-notch results in most use cases. As a gaming solution, the high refresh rate coupled with FreeSync and G-Sync Compatibility, good response times and vibrant colours make for compelling in-game visuals. The FI27Q-X isn't a one-trick pony, either, as a 1440p resolution, wide viewing angles and excellent colour coverage bode equally well for productivity.
Certain limitations do remain - the HDR experience is basic and overall presentation could be sleeker - yet this is one of the better 27in gaming monitors to pass through the labs, and certainly Aorus' best effort yet.
Bottom line: ready to pair that powerful new graphics card to a fitting display? 240Hz QHD IPS is an accomplished destination, and stock shortages permitting, the Aorus FI27Q-X is well worth a shout.
