Summary

...lays down a solid marker for immersive audio on Xbox games consoles.

Amid an overwhelming number of gaming headsets, Corsair's HS75 XB Wireless lays down a solid marker for immersive audio on Xbox games consoles.

Well-built and less gaudy than most gaming solutions, the HS75s are comfortable to wear and deliver a core set of ingredients that offer genuine appeal to the target audience. These include immersive Dolby Atmos audio, direct Xbox Wireless connectivity, a decent noise-cancelling microphone and 20-hour battery life.

There are limitations, however. Corsair's onboard controls aren't the most intuitive, connectivity is limited to one protocol, and the £170 price tag has been brought into sharper focus by the release of Microsoft's own Xbox Wireless Headset, which includes Bluetooth for the relatively small sum of £90.

Bottom line: Corsair's HS75 XB Wireless looks the part and sounds impressive, but a few tweaks to the controls are needed to elevate this headset from good to great.

Sennheiser PXC 550-II Wireless Headphones FTW.
Immersive Dolby Atmos audio

Does this come with a licence key included for the app?

Overall seems dead in the water in comparison to MS' own Xbox headset that is coming.
