Conclusion

Corsair markets these are premium DDR4 packs with class-leading RGB support - hardware and software - on top...

RGB continues to be, quite literally, eye-catching marketing for companies plying their trade in the PC components business. Corsair, a well-oiled machine, understands that it needs to periodically update its RGB catalogue in order to, dare we say, outshine the competition.

Part of this approach is evidenced by the new, brighter Vengeance RGB Pro memory available in decent speeds and capacities. The all-new design offers vivid, even illumination across a wide lightbar, though standing at 51mm tall, the modules are not the best fit for crowded motherboards.

Corsair markets these as premium DDR4 packs with class-leading RGB support - hardware and software - on top. That's true, but the cost of modules may raise an eyebrow. For example, our 32GB (4x8GB) kit of DDR4-3,600 CL18 memory costs around £425, but it's worth knowing that, if you want these for effects alone, a physically-identical pack of DDR4-2,666, at £330, is almost £100 cheaper.

Vengeance RGB Pro is the best memory of its type to pass through the labs. You'll pay handsomely for the privilege, of course, but when has it been any different.

The Good

The Bad
Excellent build quality
Wide, even, bright lightbar
Good range of speeds and capacities

OK,what memory modules do these use - Hynix,Micron or Samsung?? Samsung also make other chips too.

Also do these have the Corsair module lottery?? A lot of their other DDR4 kits, have three variants - each of which corresponds to Hynix,Micron or Samsung. This is usually indicated by a version number on the RAM itself or the packaging.

From the timings it's very unlikely that its samsung. I'm pretty sure I've seen cl 16 ddr4 at 3600mhz that were samsungs.

Not even E-die?? Well, still would be useful to know if the module lottery still exists though!! If not I don't see the point of buying these for a Ryzen based build.

I can't seem to find out what they are.

Yeah,me neither - RAM reviews need to list the modules being used, and in the case of Corsair RAM,whether there is only variant of the RAM or different versions.
