...Ryzen 9 3900 presents real opportunity for system builders hoping to balance strong multi-core performance with near-silent operation...
AWD-IT's 465X Ryzen 9 3900 isn't quite what we had in mind when envisaging a PC build featuring a 65W AMD Ryzen CPU.
With a mid-tower chassis, high-end liquid cooling and a total of eight boisterous fans, the base unit is both large and loud, and doesn't conform to our expectations of a low-power system.
Implementation leaves plenty to be desired, and that's a shame as the 65W CPU is a fine example of what the latest-generation Zen architecture can bring to quiet, small-form-factor systems. The Ryzen 9 3900 presents real opportunity for system builders hoping to balance strong multi-core performance with near-silent operation, and there's good news for the DIY crowd as AWD-IT is offering the 65W chip in a series of CPU and motherboard bundles.
Taking the cost of the motherboard into account brings the price of a Ryzen 9 3900 down to around the £315 mark, representing a £100 saving over the higher-power Ryzen 9 3900X. In summary, skip this rig, but those 65W CPU and motherboard bundles are well worth knowing about.

The Corsair Liquid Cooler is a stylish option for customers wanting to add a bit of flair to their system which gives them peace of mind for the future should they wish to upgrade their CPU to one that requires better cooling or if they want to dabble in overclocking. Customers have the option when configuring the system to choose an AMD Prism RGB cooler as an alternative, resulting in a quieter PC and reducing the system cost by around £120. This also removes 4 of the additional fans in the system, significantly reducing the system volume.
