PRESS RELEASE

Stone Group, provider of ICT solutions to the public and private sector, has announced that it has completed the acquisition of DinoPC, a supplier of custom PCs for the gaming and entertainment industry.

The acquisition means Stone Group is able to extend its provision of specialist equipment to gaming enthusiasts. Stone currently builds high-end gaming desktops, which are supplied to universities and colleges for gaming courses. DinoPC’s offering is a natural fit to expand the range, as well open up a consumer market for the company.

Founded 11 years ago, DinoPC is an Intel Premier Partner and utilises an identical supply chain to Stone. Following the acquisition, DinoPC and its website will begin operating as a division of Stone Group with immediate effect.

Simon Harbridge, CEO of Stone Group, says: “We’re incredibly pleased to welcome DinoPC to Stone Group. The gaming sector and e-sports market is a successful and growing part of the UK economy and a natural area in which our configure-to-order capabilities can provide a level of service consumers are looking for. A number of our university customers offer courses focused on the gaming sector, and it has been an area of growth for them. We’re keen to support that where we can, as well as opening up our business to consumer market.”

Vladimir Kuzenetsov, Founder of DinoPC, will be joining Stone as Head of its Gaming Division. Vladimir says: “I have always been aware of Stone’s strong reputation and capability as an IT Solutions provider and manufacturer of devices, which is why I am thrilled that DinoPC is becoming part of the business, and I look forward to my new role.”

Simon concludes: “Vladimir set up DinoPC in his early 20s. He’s clearly a talented and motivated individual and we’re very pleased that he will be joining Stone Group.”

For the year ended April 2017 DinoPC’s turnover was £3.5 million. Stone intends to create a gaming division around the DinoPC business and will be working to develop a strong social media following within the gaming community.
