AMD has used the 2010 Cannes Film Festival as the stage upon which to promote its 2010 VISION refresh, and in keeping with its desire to sell complete experiences as opposed to individual components, the company has created a new short film designed to showcase what VISION is all about.
The talent behind the clip includes award-winning director Goran Marković and award-winning actor Miki Manojlović, who together attempt to portray the message that "everybody is a film star with VISION technology from AMD".
Whether or not the clip - or parts of it, at least - will be used as part of a TV ad campaign remains unknown, but it could provide a glimpse at AMD's future marketing strategy. Check out the entire three-and-a-half minute video below.
Don't get it? Here's AMD's official synopsis:
"VISION technology from AMD provides such an immersive experience that you will be hard pressed to tell the difference between the virtual world and reality. A stunning level of detail, life-like gaming and amazing photos that turn into a vibrant video with a click of a button are just some reasons that will make every user feel like a film star."
