Bucks sucks

Tech price comparison site Top10.com has published a study of average mobile broadband speeds across the UK, and found Milton Keynes was the worst.

The Buckinghamshire town delivers average 3G speeds of 1.73 megabits per second, which is 45 percent slower than the national average of 2.65 Mbps. Peterborough, which isn't that far from Milton Keynes, had the fastest 3G with an average speed of 3.86 Mbps, so it's hard to infer any regional generalisations from this study.

Regardless, Alex Buttle of Top10.com said: "There's clearly quite a disparity when it comes to 3G connectivity across the UK. Despite the Government and mobile operators tirelessly working to increase the coverage and speed of the 3G service, there is evidently still a long way to go. Across large swathes of the UK, and worryingly in some of the country's largest towns and cities, such as Birmingham and Liverpool, 3G broadband speeds are simply not up to scratch."

Apparently thousands of mobile broadband speed tests were carried out by users of Top10.com via an iPhone app, in the first three months of this year, which were then collated and averages calculated. Here's the bottom 20, as opposed to Top10.

Those results mean nothing to me because there is almost no regulation on how it was gathered(at least from the information conveyed in the article) and could easily be skewed by people doing tests in their basement for all we know… Without the context of how the data was gathered those statistics are pointless.
Well in that case I put to you: Why does everyone in Milton Keynes live in a basement? :P

Because daylight is overrated?
I blame the roundabouts and horrific architecture.
If you want horrific architecture - you should see luton :)

roundabouts work in MK! compared with the other places in the UK I've lived there is a massive reduction in congestion.

the price you pay for that however is that internet connectivity , be it wired or wireless is 'kin terrible!
