SEASON 4 WILL AIR JUST ONE DAY AFTER HBO'S US PREMIERE

AVAILABLE ON BOTH SKY AND ONLINE STREAMING SERVICE, NOW TV

Sky Atlantic HD today announces that the highly anticipated, ten-episode fourth season of HBO's drama epic GAME OF THRONES will return to the channel on Monday 7 April at 9pm, less than 24 hours after it returns in the US. Based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling book series A Song of Ice and Fire, the Golden Globe® and Emmy®-winning drama chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent fantasy kingdom.

Created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, GAME OF THRONES redefined the fantasy genre when it launched back in April 2011, and has since garnered much critical acclaim and a raft of awards recognition, including the BAFTA® TV Audience Award, ten Primetime Emmys®, a Golden Globe® and two Screen Actors Guild awards.

A wealth of new talent will also join the cast, including Mark Gatiss (Sherlock), Joel Fry (Trollied, Plebs), Roger Ashton-Griffiths (Gangs of New York), Indira Varma (What Remains, Luther) and Pedro Pascal (Homeland, The Good Wife), who will play Prince Oberyn Martell aka The Red Viper.

Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead), Alex Graves (The Newsroom, Fringe) and Neil Marshall (Season 2's Battle of Blackwater episode) are among the directors for the fourth season. George RR Martin will also return to write an episode.

GAME OF THRONES returns on Monday 7 April at 9pm on Sky Atlantic HD and Sky Atlantic +1 - available exclusively to Sky TV customers and contract free on NOW TV with the NOW TV Entertainment Month Pass.
