Felipe Massa may have lost the Formula 1 championship by the narrowest of margins, but his Ferrari team has decided to celebrate winning the 2008 Constructor's World Championship by unveiling the Scuderia Spider 16M - its fastest open-top road car.
The Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M, pictured below, is essentially an open-top version of the F430 Scuderia. But, it's lighter, and its 510hp mid-rear V8 engine will deliver 375bhp-per-tonne - making it the quickest open-top Ferrari around the manufacturer's Fiorano circuit.
It'll be available in two colour schemes; black with grey trim, or a special tricolour livery as part of the Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme.
0-62mph can be achieved in 3.7 seconds, and it'll top out at 195.7mph. Ferrari states the Scuderia Spider 16M's other exclusive features include a roll-bar with carbon-fibre outer shell and... wait for it, an optional customised-and-removable Ferrari iPod Touch - only a 16GB version, mind.
No word on pricing, but Ferrari states that only 499 will be produced.
