Micro transactions for those who want to delve a little deeper
5. With Microvolts being an F2P title, what business model is Rock Hippo employing in order to make it profitable? Will the game be supporting micro transactions and how will this work over a long period? The game will support micro transactions for in-depth high-level cosmetic items, while also providing content that can be acquired with in-game points. We are committed to making sure that either of those choices will be fully supported with all content updates well into the future.
6. Do you have plans to add more characters to the game and tell us about the central characters?
Again, I can’t give too many details right now, but something that’s in the works involves securing some well known character rights to bring into the game. So yes, more characters will definitely be introduced, along with additional character customization packs. The main characters are Naomi, Knox, Pandora, and C.H.I.P. I think they will each appeal to a different type of person, but if you ask me, I couldn’t pick a favourite. If you want to find out more about these characters you can check them out at the official website www.MicroVolts.com.
7. Please give our readers the setting to the first hour of play, what they have to do and how the game expands and grows.
The first thing players will be able to do is select a character and customize them to fit their personality and style. They can then decide which weapons they will choose for each weapon type slot, by looking at which stats they consider most important. After that, they can join a match or create their own and let the mayhem begin! It will take some time for players to figure out which weapons are useful for different situations, and even more time to completely master them all. More features will be added to enhance the game experience both in-game and on our official website, but you’ll just have to wait and see.
8. Are there any plans on porting Microvolts to the current generation consoles and why did you choose PC to being?
The PC platform has some very important advantages when it comes to online multiplayer games, especially for digital distribution. We would obviously like to reach as many gamers as possible, but I think the current generation consoles are still some time away from being able to provide the same experience. When that time comes, we will be ready to consider new possibilities.
Lastly, I’d like to thank Nick and Thunderbolt for taking interest in MicroVolts and we hope to see many of your readers playing the game. The closed beta will begin very soon, so make sure to sign up at www.MicroVolts.com for a chance to win a closed beta key and play the game before anyone else.
