CREATIVE HELPS ROCK THE STARS AT THE MTV EUROPE MUSIC AWARDS 2002 Galaxy Of Stars Attending The MTV Europe Music Awards 2002 To Receive Creative's Stylish Personal Audio Player, The MuVo

Creative (Nasdaq: CREAF) the worldwide leader in digital entertainment products for the personal computer and the Internet, can announce that it will be presenting all the artists on the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards 2002 with a MuVo, the radical and ultra-compact MP3 player that can hold up to two hours of music.

The MTV Europe Music Awards 2002, set to take place on 14 November 2002 at the Palau Sant Jordi, Barcelona, is Europe's premier music ceremony. Boasting live performances by Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera, Coldplay, Eminem, Enrique Iglesias, Foo Fighters, Moby, Pink, Robbie Williams, Royksopp, Whitney Housten and Wyclef Jean, hosted by entertainment impresario Sean 'P.Diddy' Combs with presenters including Anastacia, The Calling, Esther Canadas, Holly Valance, Jade Jagger, Kelis, Kylie Minogue, Las Ketchup, Ms Dynamite, Nick Carter, Pharrell Williams from N*E*R*D, Pierce Brosnan, Ronan Keating, Rupert Everett, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Sugababes, Tiziano Ferro, the event is set to be the biggest and best yet.

The Creative MuVo is small enough to fit on a key ring and weighs less than an ounce. It can hold up to 2 hours of music in WMA or MP3 formats and is also able to act as a USB storage device. Requiring no installation*, the MuVo plugs directly into a USB port and users can simply drag and drop music, photos or data. One tiny AAA battery means that music can be played for up to 12 hours on the versatile MuVo which delivers fantastic sound quality.

"Creative's MuVo is currently the smallest, sleekest and coolest MP3 player available so it makes sense for the Muvo to be presented as a gift to the plethora of artists that are taking part in the prestigious MTV Europe Music Awards 2002", says Geraldine Lee, brand manager for MP3 Players with Creative Labs Europe.

Sponsored by D&G, Vodafone, Foot Locker and American Express, the MTV Europe Music Awards 2002 will comprise 25 individual awards. The nominations for 14 of these have been compiled by MTV Europe's voting academy of 1100 people - consisting of key figures from the European music industry and MTV viewers from across Europe. The MTV Europe Music Awards 2002 see the addition of three new categories, Best Live act, Best Hard Rock and Best Romanian Act. Nominations in the 10 regional categories (Best Dutch Act, Best French Act, Best Nordic Act, Best German Act, Best Italian Act, Best Polish Act, Best Spanish Act, Best UK & Ireland Act, Best Romanian Act and Best Russian Act) are chosen by viewers of MTV Europe's regional services.

MTVN Europe viewers vote for the winner of each award category online across MTV Europe's network of 9 websites - with the exception of the winner of Best Video award, which will be chosen exclusively by MTV Europe. The Web Award is voted for exclusively online by MTV website users.
