"This game is not just about being another person playing as Superman. It is about being equal to Superman," explained Sony creative director Christopher Cao at E3 this week.
DC Universe is the shared universe where the likes of Batman, Superman and Wonderwoman carry out their heroic deeds. In the game there will be dozens of playable characters from the comic books, including Catwoman, The Penguin, Aquaman and Mr Freeze, but we'll also be able to create our own unique superheros and join together online in superhero teams.
Ahead of its full unveiling at a US comic convention next week, very little else is known about the game, although the first official DC Universe Onlinel trailer show great promise, showcasing a range of heroes and villains and their superpowers.
