The PS3 exclusive action adventure, inFamous, which we reviewed back in May, has sold more than 1.2 million copies, according to reports from Sony.

This follows the news that downloadable content, in the form of a new super power, will be made available on December 10th for free. The Gigawatt Blades superpower, which has previously only been available to those who pre-ordered inFamous, supercharges Cole’s arm into blades of pure energy which can be used to cause massive damage against enemies during melee combat.

Since the release of inFamous in May the price has come right down. Most online outlets are selling it at around the £20 mark - a bargain for what we consider to be one of the best games of 2010.
