Speaking at Sony's E3 press conference today, Valve's Gabe Newell has confirmed that the PS3 version of Portal 2 will have Steam features, making it "the best console version" of the unique puzzle/action game.

We assume one of those features will be the Steam Cloud giving PC and PS3 gamers the ability to store game settings and saves on a central server. This allows users to more easily install Steam on a new computer or play Steam games on multiple computers, or consoles.

Be interesting to hear more about this once we get the official press release. We'll keep you informed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Gabe absolutely hate the PS3? Best version of Portal 2 on a console he hates?
Ah, the “best console version”. There's not a lot of competition there, really.
Is this really the big “surprise” Valve had been hyping up? I'm so disappointed. HL:Ep3 would have been much better.
So its the best version because it has steam stuff ?

I saw the headline around and got worried that Gabe had forsaken the pc gamers for the consoling coin :)
L4D 2 anyone???
