Broadcast magazine delivers the news that Sony and Channel 4 are locked in talks to bring the T.V. company’s on demand service to the PlayStation 3.

The BBC iPlayer has reportedly been a real hit with PS3 owners since the service launched on consoles last September, and now Sony hopes that Channel 4’s streaming service will become another asset to the games console/media centre.

You can access Channel 4’s on demand service already on the PS3 if you stream it through You Tube, but an official deal with the two companies should mean better quality content that works every time.

Sounds good, although I wonder if it will be an App or a Bookmark to a special PS3 webpage like iPlayer.

The PS3 browser could do with a big upgrade in this regard.
