Wii will Wii will rock you!
Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello has confirmed that the ultimate interactive music videogame experience, Rock Band is being developed for Wii and will be released this year.The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions have yet to be released in the UK, but the game has been enjoying great success in North America, where gamers have been rocking out to the likes of RadioHead’s “Creep” and The Clash’s “Should I stay or Should I go” since its release in November 2007.
The last we heard was that it was due for a March release over here, but EA still haven't officially confirmed it.
EA has said that they'll play to the strength of each console so it will interesting to see whether the Wii version will feature Mii integration and whether gamers will be willing to fork out for a costly Rock Band kit that will no doubt cost almost as much as the console itself.
An official press release with firm details is expected shorty.
