So what did we think?
Overall, Heroes of Annihilated empires is a stylish and great mixture of the RPG and RTS styles. The action flows well, the spell cards are extremely inventive and enjoyable to use and the intense battles later on in the game will keep your fingers and brain extremely busy.
The maps are well designed and gloriously detailed and the added option of taking part in multiplayer games and skirmish mode means that the fun doesn’t have to stop once you’ve completed the single player campaign. It’s a shame there isn’t a map editor in multiplayer mode, but Heroes of the Annihilated Empires is the first game in a trilogy from GSC Gameworld and we’re looking forward to see how they expand on this first enjoyable experience.
