Fast forward to 2021 and the very best consumer parts pack an astonishing 16 cores and 32 threads, while those on a more modest budget can pick up eight-core 65W solutions from either AMD or Intel for under £300.
We'd imagine plenty of HEXUS readers went ahead and upped their core/thread count in recent years, so let's see where we're at by asking: how many cores does your desktop CPU have? Going by the answers to last week's question, we reckon most folk will have fewer cores than they do fans!
