Animal Crossing City Folk
Platforms: Wii
Release date: Nov 16 (NA), TBA (EU)
The Animal Crossing franchise is about to reach a new level of addictiveness with a new Wii version that will utilise the WiiSpeak microphone, allowing gamers to chat online whilst they carry out a hundred and one chores such as building a snowman, exchanging presents with family or decorating your house for the holidays. Don't abuse those kiddies folks!
Sonic Unleashed
Platforms: PS2, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii
Release date: Christmas 2008
Sega itself admitted that the last Sonic game was absolutely ‘pant's, so we're looking forward to seeing if they can bring the blue hedgehog crashing into the next-gen era with some flair this time around. The good news is that Sonic Unleashed is built on a powerful new "Hedgehog Engine", which introduces seamless 3D to classic 2D camera transitions, whilst delivering an expansive world with multiple paths to choose from.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Platforms: Wii, DS
Release date: Christmas 2008
Once again, it's a Star Wars game, need we say more. Also, it's yet another chance to test out the Wii lightsaber and this game is designed specifically with that peripheral in mind. Star Wars: The Clone Wars will combine the cinematic qualities of the Star Wars movies with state-of-the-art computer-generated imagery from artists at Lucasfilm Animation.
