PRESS RELEASE

September 2011 - ASUS is announcing the launch of F1A55-V motherboard with support for AMD® A-& E2- series Accelerated Processor with AMD RadeonTM HD 6000 Series Graphics that combines processing power and advanced DirectX 11 graphics in one small, energy-efficient design to enable accelerated performance and an industry-leading visual experience.

The F1A55-M comes equipped with AMD® Dual Graphics Technology; this is when the AMD Lynx platform uses the AMD Llano APU with the optional AMD "Nothern Islands" line of discrete graphics adapters to extend graphics and visual performance through a form of Hybrid CrossFire. The advantages of Dual Graphics include that it is unique to AMD Lynx platform, provides up to four extra digital outputs and improved 3D and computer performance.

F1A55-V motherboard has solid capacitors with a life span of 5,000 hours at 105˚C or 500,000 hours working at 65 ˚C - the lower the working temperature the longer the product lifespan. This extra lifespan is produced from an innovative conductive polymer providing a longer life under less heat.

ASUS AI Suite II consolidates all exclusive ASUS features into one simple-to-use package. It allows users to supervise overclocking, energy management, fan speed, voltage and sensor readings. This all-in-one software offers diverse and easy to use functions, with no need to switch back and forth between different utilities.

F1A55-V EPU, through a simple on-board switch or AI Suite II utility provides energy optimisation by automatically detecting current PC loadings and intelligently moderating power consumption. This also reduces fan noise and extends component longevity!

Exclusive to ASUS motherboards, its UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) is the first ever mouse-controlled graphical BIOS interface designed. It delivers a user-friendly interface that goes beyond traditional keyboard-only BIOS controls to enable more flexible and convenient input with quick scrolling. Users can easily navigate the UEFI BIOS with the smoothness of their operating system. The exclusive EZ Mode displays frequently-accessed setup info, while the Advanced Mode is for experienced performance enthusiasts that demand far more intricate system control, including detailed DRAM information.

The F1A55-V features MemOK! which quickly ensures memory boot compatibility. This remarkable memory rescue tool requires a mere push of a button to patch memory issues. MemOK! determines failsafe settings and dramatically improves system boot success. Anti-Surge Protection Design detects overvoltage conditions and prevents voltage surges from spreading in real time. It also actively cuts off the overvoltage supply to protect the system.
