Remote IT initiative aims to improve customer experience, staff productivity
LONDON AND WOBURN, Mass., 3 May, 2011 - LogMeIn (NASDAQ: LOGM) announced that BSkyB (Sky), the UK's premier public satellite broadcasting company, has selected LogMeIn Rescue, LogMeIn Pro² and LogMeIn Central to remotely support its retail locations. BSkyB's IT team is using the software to remotely manage and troubleshoot hundreds of computers at more than 300 retail sites across the UK in shopping centres, as well as branded vehicles used for special events. The move is part of an initiative by BSkyB to maintain a great customer experience while improving the productivity of its retail and IT staff.
Mr. Aaseem Mulji, Head of Retail Assets, BSkyB commented: "Sky's retail operations are critical to customer service and to new business, and downtime can have a detrimental impact on both. Our goal with LogMeIn is to significantly speed resolution time by being in a position to remotely activate, manage and support our stores and staff. BSkyB is using LogMeIn Rescue, LogMeIn's web-based remote support product to assist retail staff with requests to activate, control or troubleshoot laptops. A combination of LogMeIn Central, LogMeIn's remote management console, and LogMeIn Pro² hosts installed on all computers at retail locations give BSkyB's IT team the ability to proactively monitor, manage and update kiosks and displays without the need for onsite support.
