PRESS RELEASE

PhotoBlab is an innovative new social app that gives users the ability to combine their photos with original audio to share their best moments with friends and followers. Imagine you could capture any spontaneous or perfectly composed moment and share it?

Sometimes an SMS or a picture message just doesn't cut it and video can be shaky or just too big to send to someone. PhotoBlab gives you the ability to share up to five photos with accompanying audio to a network of friends in a simple feed. You can also share on Facebook, by Twitter or by email, and there's even the option to send private Blabs.

Created by first-time app developer, and full-time Live Video / Visuals Director for Muse, Thomas Kirk, PhotoBlab originated from a light bulb-moment that came to him whilst visiting an exhibition with a friend at the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg. Wishing there was a way to capture the entire moment, both the ambience of the room and images from the exhibition he was visiting, Kirk stumbled across a unique idea that was yet to be created, and so PhotoBlab was born.

"The idea to be able to attach audio to photos and share them between friends, all within the same app seemed so simple and fun I just had to make it happen. Working with the renowned design company How Splendid has made this concept a reality, and I'm incredibly thrilled and proud to have made it into the app that it is. Lots more ideas and upgrades are already being worked on, but seeing PhotoBlab lift off as it has is uber exciting, and I can't wait to face the challenges of making this app grow from strength to strength." - Tom Kirk

PhotoBlab allows users to put together up to two minutes of original audio with a series of photos, either taken in that moment or from their camera roll. Users can then play around with the great features including filters to change the look and feel of their blab, geo location to pinpoint where it was blabbed before sharing with their followers and friends. Users get 10 seconds of audio as standard and the option of a one-time in-app payment upgrade to a full two minutes allowance. Send as much or as little as you want.

From bands blabbing from the studio and fans blabbing back their reviews, to fashion designers blabbing their new collections and friends blabbing their days out, the possibilities of moments to capture are endless.

PhotoBlab provides a more interactive way of capturing and sharing your favourite moments with the world.

PhotoBlab is available on the iTunes store for iPhone.
