Immendingen, May 12, 2015 – proDAD today announced the immediate availability of its Mercalli V4 Suite for EDIUS which include the Mercalli V4 Stabilizr &Mercalli V4 cmosFIXR plug-ins for the Grass Valley EDIUS Pro 7.x video editing application, bringing advanced video stabilisation and dynamic CMOS sensor distortion correction directly into the EDIUS timeline for seamless professional editing workflow.

Combining both filter-pluginswithin EDIUSallows an optimal correction of footage suffering from shake and complex CMOS-sensor-distortions, which are typical for action cams and the majority of todays’pro-grade cameras.
Unique to the Mercalli V4Suite for EDIUSplug-in is the “fade”-optionto seamlessly start and end stabilisation. “Many users have asked for this”, says Andreas Huber, “to stabilize a short sequence within a longer shot. Before this option either hard cuts or dissolves needed to be applied.”
The Mercalli V4 Suite offers a full auto mode analysisof footage and choose the appropriate settings accordingly. Mercalli V4for EDIUS also allows the user to control almost every step of the optimisation manually. Within EDIUS Mercalli provides interactive charts highlighting the critical spots within a clipassisting the user in trying and finding the optimal treatment for the individual scene.
The degree of zoom-in is vastly reduced. An extreme wide angle shot or even fisheye-look is no longer an obstacle to the analysis process and can be stabilised just as well as any other footage.
The Mercalli V4 Suite for EDIUS Pro 7.x offers a batch-processing function keeping track of all files that have eitherbeen changed or not been analysed yet allowing the user to kick off the analysing-process whenever appropriate. Thus waiting times can be greatly reduced speeding up the workflow.

The Mercalli V4 Suite for EDIUS is available in three flavors. The “Mercalli V4 Suite for EDIUS” (€ 399) contains both plugins as well as the stand-alone version Mercalli V4 SAL+. The “Stabilizr” and “cmosFIXR” plug-ins can be also purchased separately for € 149 each. Until May 31, 2015 there is an introduction special which gives a generous 20% discount from these prices.
