Corsair 32GB Vengeance LPX DDR4 memory modules launched

PC gaming peripherals and enthusiast components maker Corsair has announced that it has added 32GB DDR4 memory modules to its Vengeance LPX range. It says that this is the first time such high capacity premium RAM has been made available to consumers in standard size DDR4 modules. Corsair also launched the new TUF Gaming Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 memory in 16GB kits (8MBx2) - which adds the Asus TUF design aesthetic plus RGB LED lighting.

Corsair has used higher density chips in its new 32GB Vengeance LPX DDR4 memory modules in order to produce an industry standard eight-chip-per-side layout, maximising the compatibility of these modules with consumer motherboards and minimising their volume. We don't whether these are Samsung or Micron 16Gb (2GB) ICs.

The new modules are launching in frequencies of 2,400MHz and 2,666MHz in kits of 1x, 2x, 4x and 8x modules, or 3,000MHz in kits of 1x and 2x modules. Of course you should check with your motherboard support to see if support for these DIMMs is in place before splashing out.

As mentioned earlier, there are new TUF Gaming Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 memory kits available too. Both these kits are in 16GB (8MBx2) configurations but there is a DDR4 3000 and DDR4 3200MHz choice to make.

Looking through the new Corsair DDR4 RAM product offerings, the cheapest was a single Vengeance LPX 32GB (1 x 32GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz C16 Memory Kit - Black - at US$149.99, but the highest capacity fastest kit the Vengeance LPX 256GB (8x 32GB), DDR4 2666 was unlisted at the time of writing (404 error). Meanwhile, the Vengeance LPX 256GB (8 x 32GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz C16 Memory Kit - Black - costs $1,199.99.
