The likes of Corsair, OCZ and Super Talent have already turned to SandForce controllers as the basis for super-quick SSDs, and it looks as though US-based manufacturer Mushkin is getting in on the action with the launch of its latest drive, Callisto.

The high-end Flash-based storage solution, pictured above, makes use of a SandForce SF-1200 controller and is available in either 60GB, 120GB or 240GB capacities.

Lining up against OCZ's Vertex 2 series, Mushkin's Callisto SSDs claim read and write speeds of up to 285MB/s and 275MB/s, respectively, and come backed by a limited three-year warranty.

All three models are available to order direct from the Mushkin online store, with pricing set at $218.49 for the 60GB drive, $369.99 for the 120GB drive and $666.49 for the range-topping 240GB drive.
