Conclusion

...Fractal's overall aesthetic isn't as modern as some of the competition, but beyond that there's a very tidy chassis offering a lot of the mod cons you would expect in 2019.

As much as we appreciate what the award-winning Define S2 has to offer, Fractal Design realises that there are plenty of users who take a disliking to solid front panels that hinder airflow.

Solving that conundrum has proven to be straightforward - take the frontage of Meshify C and apply it to Define S2's body and, hey presto, you get an unimpeded mid-tower with high-end cooling potential going by the name of Meshify S2.

The styling of said front panel will no doubt continue to divide audiences, and we'd argue that Fractal's overall aesthetic isn't as modern as some of the competition, but beyond that there's a very tidy chassis offering a lot of the mod cons you would expect in 2019. These include USB Type-C, a pair of vertical expansion slots, a covered PSU compartment, an integrated fan controller and provision for as much liquid cooling as the heart desires.

Bottom line: if you liked the look of the Define S2 but found yourself longing for a less restrictive front panel, Meshify S2 could well be the case you've been waiting for.

The Good

The Bad
USB Type-C as standard
Push-to-lock tempered glass panel
Three bundled 140mm fans and integrated hub
Lots of liquid-cooling potential
Mesh frontage bodes well for airflow

Front USB cable could be longer
Looks bare without elaborate liquid cooling

I wish there were more itx cases coming out. Seems like big cases massive radiators and rgb is the rage.
The best thing about this case is that the regular Meshify C is now cheaper
I think they missed an opportunity in not butchering the top panel mesh aesthetic too. I really like this case apart from the front panel. I wish they'd make a version without the asymetric angular thing.

I own a Meshify C. Assuming you get the black front panel and the case is under your desk you can only really tell that it's angular from a foot or two away.
no 5.25 slot for a burner…Still can't get over this issue yet ;) Other than that, seems like a nice case. Myself I own the R6, which I love.
