Duron 700
Ever since AMD released their original Athlon, there was always a value version on the cards. Finally, it has been released as the Duron (Codename : Spitfire). It uses the new socket A format chip, and is basically a cut Thunderbird Processor but with one crucial difference, less L2 cache. The Thunderbird uses 256K L2 cache compared to the Durons mere 64K, this could be a major slowdown in some applications.
Yes
Soltek KV75' motherboard,
I have heard that the CPU has a high power consumption, and I only have a 200W
PSU. Luckily, it works fine alongside it, even with all of my peripherals plugged
in (USB Speakers, SCSI card etc...).
