Google Drive, 2GB extra storage

As part of Safer Internet Day, Google is enticing its users to review their security settings (over the next week) in return for 2GB of extra Google Drive storage. "This Safer Internet Day, we're reminded how important online safety is and hope you’ll use this as an opportunity to take 2 minutes to complete a simple Security Checkup […] As our way of saying thanks for completing the checkup by 17 February 2015, we'll give you a permanent 2 gigabyte bump in your Google Drive storage plan," the company announced on its Google Drive Blog.

As well as the developer discussions and announcements we always expect Google to introduce a new product or two. Previously Google has used the event to launch products such as Google Glass, the Nexus 7 and the first Chromebooks.

It may not be applied until a few days after the above.

EDIT: there's a reply on the Blog:
“We’ll be granting the storage automatically to everyone around 28 February 2015 and we’ll send you an email when your adjustment is complete.”
It's amazing how much info they store.
Was interesting looking at my voice search results. One was “how to make gravy with custard” (which can be done btw).

Oh dear, I've had one or two embarrassing Google Now failures - especially one (during the interval at a concert) where I went searching for something innocuous and GN came back with something distinctly X-rated, (to the amusement of the folks I was with).

2GB of free space in return for reviewing your security settings seems like a pretty good deal in my books.
Good deal, done as they asked and awaiting my space! :D
