Samsung Smart TV hosts the ultimate movie nights out this summer including a gala film event chosen by the nation
London, UK, 9th July 2013 - This summer, Samsung Smart TV has partnered with top open air cinema producers, The Nomad Cinema, Rooftop Filmclub and Luna, to host a series of outdoor film screenings across London and the South East, as part of its commitment to help people rediscover the content and films they love this summer.
Displayed on giant screens in exciting and atmospheric locations including Kensington Palace and Kew Gardens, a variety of films will be on shown over the coming months, including all-time classics such as Top Gun, The Goonies and Breakfast at Tiffany's as well as modern day blockbusters like Anchorman, Les Miserables and Django Unchained.
To end the summer season on a high, Samsung will be hosting a finale screening of the nation's favourite film on 10th September (as chosen by Samsung's Facebook fans and through consumer research), at the end of the pop-up cinema season. The UK public can place their vote on what film has them reaching for their popcorn the most, along with sharing what makes them tick when it comes to different genres and eras, by visiting the Facebook app here.
At key open-air events, Samsung will be showcasing its unique S Recommendation technology, which helps customers discover what's new to watch, based on their own personal viewing habits, and reminds them of when their favourite programmes are on the box. This will be showcased at the Samsung Screenings at key venues across the capital including Argo at Dulwich Park and Breakfast At Tiffany's at Hatfield House.
