The latest craze to make 2012’s gizmos, gadgets and devices as thin as humanly possible has spread into the world of cameras, as Panasonic reveals the Lumix DMC-TZ30.

Featuring a 20x optical zoom, a 24mm ultra wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens (extending to 480mm) with Nano Surface Coating technology and a 14.1-megapixel High Sensitivity MOS sensor, the body of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 is just 1.1in thick making it the ultimate compact digital camera.

Burst shooting can be captured in full resolution at just 10 frames per second and full HD 1,920 x 1,080 video can be shot at 60p in AVCHD format. It features a 3in 460K-dot-resolution touchscreen, an enhanced built-in GPS and a Dolby Digital-enhanced built-in microphone.
