Extra features and Wii Remote Plus
According to Engadget, the company demonstrated a neat little feature where a user can take a picture of themselves using the front built-in camera, which automatically creates a personalised Mii avatar that resembles them.
There is also a built-in editing feature and Nintendo showed off its Mii Plaza app, that lets users collect Miis wirelessly as well as a book and diary app, which should sit alongside other features like a pedometer and possible background multi-tasking.
In a bid to keep its place in motion-sensitive gaming, Nintendo has also reportedly confirmed it is developing an extra-sensitive Wii remote, called the Wii Remote Plus, although it did not say when it will be available.
The rumours started when online store GameStop posted FlingSmash, a game to be released in November which seems to come as part a remote bundle, according to CNET.
While the description reportedly mentioned a "Wii Remote controller with the Wii MotionPlus accessory," the picture displayed a black remote with a banner that said "Wii Remote Plus inside!" however, the image has now been taken down. Nintendo is also believed to be joining with Fuji TV to test out 3D video streaming to the 3DS.
Here are a couple of Japanese vids showing off what the 3DS can do.
